Wholesale nursery growers and garden center employees, spend a morning at Root’s Nurseries learning how to identify ornamental plant pests and problems, along with various management strategies.

Join Tim Abbey, York County Commercial Horticulture Educator, to discuss problems encountered on ornamental plants in production nurseries and garden centers.

Topics to be covered:
• Insect pest identification
• Beneficial insect identification
• Pest monitoring
• IPM strategies for management, including chemical and non-chemical options.

Field day will be held rain or shine, so please dress appropriately.

Participants should meet at Root’s Nurseries no later than 9:00 am.
