Hands-on instruction for the basic skills necessary to install a drip system.  Class is designed for those who will install, trouble-shoot and repair systems in the field.  A low-volume irrigation system typically applies water slowly, at low pressure, at or near the root zones of plant material.  Whether referred to as drip, trickle, micro-irrigation or low-volume, these systems feature emission devices that apply water in gallons per hour (GPH) as opposed to the gallons per minute (GPM) of a conventional overhad irrigation system.

Topics include:

  • Dense versus Sparse Planting Scheme
  • Water source
  • Filtration Requirement
  • Pressure Regulation
  • Use Insert or Compression fittings
  • Soil Type
  • Elevation Changes
  • Maintenance Tips

Fee: $30
