A new opportunity for the landscape contractor - vegetative and riparian buffers for poultry and livestock farms. Get first hand information about the research and findings of these much needed landscape projects on livestock farms here in Pennsylvania. PLNA, Pennsylvania Dept of Agriculture, the State Conservation Commission, PennAg Industries and Penn State University are partnering to provide this informative seminar and tours showing how the green industry and the ag industry can work together for environmental stewardship. Vegetative buffers, riparian buffers, windbreaks, shade banks and landscapes and screening buffers can assist the farms in improving air quality, water quality, energy conservation and the urban/rural interface.
