Title: Invasive Weed Identification and Management
Speaker: Nancy Bosold, Penn State Extension Educator
Invasive Weeds are plants that have been introduced into an environment outside their native range. They may have no natural enemies in their new range and may quickly spread and take over their new environment. Invasive weeds can reduce crop yields and invade lawns, landscapes, parks, production nurseries and right-of-ways areas. The control of these weeds can be a major expense for farmers, growers, homeowners and taxpayers. This talk will discuss the identification of common and new invasive weeds in Pennsylvania and will describe the selection and timing of pesticide applications for weed management.
