PLNA MEETUP REPLAY
Holly Days Nursery & Landscapes, Ambler, PA hosted a Contractor Appreciation Day and PLNA MeetUp Wednesday, September 16. Over 50 area contractors and PLNA members, and Holly Days employees enjoyed a sunny afternoon of education and fellowship. Guest speakers Chris Collins of F.M. Brown’s and Michel Chenail of Davey Trees covered hot topics in lawn and tree care while area vendors showcased their equipment and services.
Torrey Rose, President of Holly Days Nursery and member of the PLNA Board of Directors, welcomed area landscape contractors to take part in this PLNA MeetUp. “My purpose in hosting this event was two-fold,” says Mr. Rose. “First, it allowed me to formally thank the many area contractors that I’ve worked closely with through the years on projects big and small. I appreciate their on-going business and the opportunity to share knowledge and experience.” The MeetUp also gave Torrey the opportunity to talk about the benefits of PLNA membership. “There are a lot of bright young business owners out there. Some may have heard about PLNA, but really had no idea what the association does. The MeetUp gave me an opportunity to field some questions, sign-up new members and speak to some lapsed members.”
After a satisfying meal of BBQ chicken and pulled pork sandwiches, contractors visited with vendors. A few brave souls strapped on safety gear and took a ride to the top of the 120’ tree crane. Several contractors were so happy with the MeetUp experience, they asked Torrey and his brothers Kevin and John to host another event next year.
