Citizen tree enthusiasts help immeasurably in caring for community and public resources. In doing so, they often have a favorite tree they adopt. In this project, we take a selfie (photo) some of our favorite public trees, posting the geo-location and some biological information on a project facebook page. This venture prepares volunteers and tree fans to enter vital tree data on the soon-to-be announced citizen inventory map for Pennsylvanians. Further, communities may find it useful in raising awareness and garnering local stewardship. Brad King and Scott Sjolander are both Master Gardeners in Crawford County. This project is intended to be enjoyable for tree people anywhere they go.
Cost: There is no fee to attend this event.
