HARRISBURG - PLNA President Gregg Robertson is urging members to review PennDOT and US DOT regulations on trucks and trailers to be sure their vehicles are in compliance.

"Unfortunately, I am still getting calls from members who have incurred huge fines because their trucks and trailers are not in compliance with state and federal rules," said Robertson. "The cost of getting your trucks and trailers up to snuff is not nearly as great as the fines that can be levied for being out of compliance and on the road. Just one stop by police can lead to thousands in fines."

Robertson pointed out that PLNA has been stressing compliance with the truck and trailer rules for years. Information on the rules and how to get your vehicles in compliance are on the PLNA website at http://www.plna.com/content.asp?pl=75&sl=38&contentid=239.
