HARRISBURG - The four bills that are active in the General Assembly that would clarify that high tunnels are not subject to real estate taxes or the Uniform Construction Code may be moving again. The bills stalled in June over differences between the House and Senate versions of the bills. (See July 7, 2013 e-News)

PLNA and a coalition of agriculture groups have been working with committee staff to resolve the language differences among the bills. This will hopefully lead to an agreement between the House and Senate agriculture committees to move the bills to final passage and the Governor's desk this fall.
