Rain GardenHARRISBURG – A bill to encourage the use of green infrastructure and other best management practices (BMPs), such as rain gardens, green roofs, bioswales and similar landscape designs, to control storm water runoff has passed both houses and is on the Governor’s desk.

The bill, SB 1255, gives municipal authorities the power to offset water and sewer bills when green infrastructure is used by property owners to control storm water runoff.
