In 2015 the PLNA Board of Directors voted to create a Pennsylvania Certified Horticulturist (PCH) Emeritus category, honoring active PCH's who have maintained their designation in good standing for at least 25 years. There are 2 groups within this category; PCH Emeritus Class (40 plus years) and PCH Emeritus Member (25 - 39 years).

Twelve individuals were inducted into the PCH Emeritus Class (40 plus years) at the 2016 Member Recognition Meeting on January 14, 2016. Active PCH's currently eligible for the PCH Emeritus Member class (25 plus years) will be notified of eligibility early this summer. Moving forward active PCH's will be notified of their eligibility at the end of the recertification period when they reach 25 years in good standing.
