PLNA Past President, Founder of Plantique passes

Theodore (Ted) R. Fritzinger, 93, of Allentown, passed peacefully on April 14, 2016 in his Arizona home. Born October 17, 1922, he was a son of the late Effie L. Doll and George W. Fritzinger. He was a graduate of Allentown High School (1940) and Cornell University (1948) and served in the United States Army.

In 1948 he founded Plantique, a successful company to this day. His many accomplishments included serving on the Boards of LARC (now VIA), Nurseryman's Association (now PLNA), State Board of Landscape Architects, Allentown Music Festival, Wildlands Conservancy, Lehigh Valley Audubon, West Allentown Kiwanis, and Lehigh County MHMR.

Ted served as PLNA Board President in 1986 and Plantique is a 50 year member of the Association.
