USDA Announces Projects to Study Pollinator Health and Downy Mildew

Powdery MildewWASHINGTON D.C. - USDA announced funding for two projects of interest to the green industry under the Specialty Crop Research Initiative.  One is a major project addressing horticulture and pollinator health, the other, control and management of downy mildew, not a new pest challenge but one of growing concern. The two projects that were funded — both being led by Dr. Cristi Palmer at Rutgers — are projects into which AmericanHort and that the Horticultural Research Institute provided input, and strongly supported.
