The planning and implementation of most PLNA activities is handled by volunteer groups — advisory groups, short-term task forces, and committees. All groups are supported by PLNA staff. Meetings are generally held at the PLNA office; when appropriate, meetings are conducted by conference calls and e-mail.
Committees have ongoing, results-oriented tasks which require meeting at least once a year. The interaction between group members promotes effective planning and evaluation of tasks.
