PLNA Bylaws Change - Dues and Assessments

PLNA Bylaws Change

Article II Dues and Assessments - Section 1. Dues

Background Information:

The Board of Directors may adopt, alter, amend, and repeal from time-to-time the Bylaws subject always to the power of the members to change such action by majority vote.

At its June 2017 meeting, the PLNA Board of Directors voted to change the PLNA bylaws as it relates to the setting of Dues.  The change provides the board the ability to set membership dues as necessary taking all factors into consideration including programmatic changes.  Limiting dues increases based on the change in the Northeast Urban Consumer Price Index does not provide for changes in programs, services or increases in costs not under the Association’s control such as utilities.
