When managing roadsides, rights-of-way and other common areas as well as landscapes and grounds it is essential to know which plants you are trying to control. Positive identification ensures the most effective and efficient control and management options. In many cases invasive plants start actively growing before our native plants and offer a window for control with less non-target damage. On this guided-walk, learn how to tell invasives (including Tree of Heaven) from native and non-native exotics in the dormant season.

The focus of this workshop will be on trees and shrubs and will include information on pesticide safety. Dress for the weather and with footwear to traverse uneven and wet ground.
