This webinar will feature presentations by Penn State faculty and Extension Educators who have experience deploying irrigation sensor technology. Dr. Francesco Di Gioia is an Assistant Professor of Vegetable Crop Science. His research focuses on sustainable vegetable production systems and vegetable quality. Nick Flax is an Extension Educator and a member of Penn State Extension's Horticulture team. Nick brings field-based experience from the commercial greenhouse and retail garden center industries, and a practical perspective to solutions involving bedding-plant and container-crop production. Dr. Long He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Agriculture and Biological Engineering. His research interests include agricultural machinery and operation, robotic solutions for agricultural applications, and sensor-based applications for crop production optimization.
