Rain GardenHARRISBURG - PLNA has created a new Sustainable Landscapes Certification that piggy-backs on the Pennsylvania Certified Horticulturist (PCH) certification. This new certification is an additional certification in one of the fastest growing areas of horticulture. Designated PCH-SLC, this certification acknowledges not only the deep understanding of plants and their care and use in the landscape, but additional specialized knowledge about how plants can be used most effectively to provide ecosystem services that improve water quality, air quality and enhance human health and performance. Maintenance of the certification will coincide with PCH recertification requirements mandating that a portion of CEUs be obtained in the sustainable landscape discipline. Applications and Study Manual order forms for this program will be available online July 15. For more information visit Sustainable Landscapes Certification.
