Researchers at The Pennsylvania State University ask for your assistance and participation in a research project to learn about what core competences, skills, experiences, and related questions you desire in new hires.

We ask that you provide input through a 15-minute survey. You will also be asked to comment on recruiting, hiring, training, and retaining, and deficiencies observed in new hires.

Your decision to participate in this research is voluntary. You can stop at any time and you do not have to answer any questions you do not want to answer, though we are unable to use your survey responses if you do not answer all the questions. Those who complete the survey will receive a $10.00 Amazon.com gift card.  You must be 18 years of age or older, work for landscape contracting firm, division, or department, and be responsible for hiring new employees to take part in this research study.

If you have questions or need additional information please contact: Margaret Hoffman, Landscape Contracting Program Coordinator, Department of Plant Science, 306 Tyson Building, University Park, PA 16802, email:
mch7@psu.edu * Phone: 814-863-6167 or  Kathy Kelley, Department of Plant Science, 6 Tyson Building, University Park, PA 16802, email: kmk17@psu.edu * Phone: 814-863-2196 .
