PLNA Provides List of Questions to PFBC on White List Proposal

May 5, 2014

The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission has proposed to ban the sale, transportation and propagation of all aquatic plants in Pennsylvania, except those that they specifically approve, creating a so-called white list.

This proposal would bring the water gardening segment of our industry to a grinding halt.

PFBC does not have the staff or expertise to review and approve the hundreds of aquatic plant species and cultivars introduced into the water gardening industry each year.

PLNA has provided a list of questions to the PFBC about their intentions with the white list and is demanding a response.
